The Lens of Time - My Brief Coronavirus Memoir

Provide us with a brief description of this object and, if it is not obvious, how it connects with the Chippewa Valley. For example, if this object is an image describe for us what the image displays and why it is significant.

This is my account of my experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and my last year of high school in Durand. I emphasize my own personal experiences instead of merely describing the pandemic itself because I would rather contribute something unique, perhaps offering a new perspective for future scholars. I want people to be able to understand what it was like to experience the pandemic as an individual in rural, western Wisconsin. I want them to consider the subtler ramifications of this year's events instead of just the obvious statistics that will undoubtedly be recorded by people other than myself. Most importantly, in this short writing, I urge future historians to learn from history, rather than simply about it.
