I believe that this short story I wrote is the best way to express my experience during this pandemic because it was a brief but big movement that would not have happened without the pandemic. The story of my time in quarantine has a lot of negatives, but is hopefully optimistic, much like how this entire pandemic has been. This story also describes me as a whole. I tend to stay positive in many situations and like to see the best in everything, this experience was no different. I won’t lie, This pandemic has been hard. My life has drastically changed over the past year, but it also gave me time to figure out myself. My time in Putnam was a core moment now for me, and not as a negative thing. I learned who I was and who I wanted to be, something that I’m not sure would have happened without the pandemic. I think that everyone has been hurt and changed differently by this pandemic but I hope my short story can help some people that are struggling to see the silver lining, to let them see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. My primary source best reflects who I am as a person and how this pandemic changed me, for better or for worse.
