Covid 19 Interview

Description

Describes what experiences Covid-19 affected during the pandemic.

For this project I chose the option to interview three people about their experiences during COVID-19 19. I chose this option because I believe that every person has had a very different experience during this pandemic, it can vary by what state they live in, their job, living situation, school, etc. I think this option best expresses my experience as well since I go to school with these people, play football with and live close to them so I believe we have had similar experiences. This is a primary source because it involves interviews and first-person accounts of the events that happened during this time. I believe that future students and researchers could learn personal experiences from this source, there is always the news and other articles that shows statistics, and information on the virus, but they don’t show personal experiences enough that can show how it affects people’s everyday life. One way the virus can affect people is financially, if they are out of a job and how that affects the way they are currently forced to live, and take care of themselves and or their family could largely change if they are out of a job or even have less hours because of COVID-19 restrictions. Physically if they can’t afford nice food to eat like they usually do, gyms are closed which some people is a part of their everyday routine, if they are having mental health issues or even fall into addiction which can affect someone physically. People struggle with a lot of mental health problems and being forced to be quarantined for a period of time along with living differently and forced to change their everyday routines in life can affect someone juristically which has shown to raise mental health issues. Emotional issues sort of goes hand and hand with the mental issue, but some people can’t adapt to change as easily as others which can cause emotional issues personally or with family. There are more issues but I believe those are some of the bigger ones that future students and researchers can use to help decide further plans and solutions coming up having to do with the virus. This relates to the historical work we have done in class as we have analyzed different primary sources and talked about the strengths and limitations.
