The First Mask

Item

Title

The First Mask

Description

This is the first mask I ever received in relation to COVID-19. My father gave it to me before I came back to UW-Eau Claire for the spring semester. I didn't think COVID-19 would be a big deal, which was obviously wrong. When everything shut down, it was thrown in with my dorm materials and lost until September of 2020. It reminded me of how inconsequential I thought this virus would be, and I even had it with me in Putnam Hall when I was in isolation for COVID-19. I have never used it or even opened it, but I will hold onto it for the rest of my life to remind myself of the good and bad I saw during the pandemic.
