Striping cane. wet and nearly all day rained quite hard through the middle of the day cold wind from South East.
Thursday September 8 Went to Meridian in forenoon to Rock Falls in afternoon posting Road natices by senping and toping cane helped Jake Butcher a pig after dinner. Rained nearly all night cool north west wind. Bertine Brought 1 mare and two colts here to be kept through the high water.
Friday Sept 9 hauling cane to Clydes Mill. hauled three loads by toping and cutting up cane. Was subpoenaed as a witness on Deaes Kings
