Thursday March 29, 1883 Choring in fore noon writing in after noon cold this morning, but a little warmer through the middle of the day has thawed but little to day. There is over a foot of snow on the ground, and so hard it will bear up cattle all over the fields, in the middle of the day. I saw a Robin yes-terday. for all it is so wintry. no wind to day. Threatens storm to night.
