Boger [Roger?], Will and George Hart planted corn all day finished at home a little past noon and on timber lot about six this evening which finishes planting corn. don't know how much corn 2 have got in. not far from 20 acres probibly Quite warm through the day. light frost this morning. wind SW little sprinkles of rain this evening

Thursday May 24, 1883 Boger [Roger?] Will Hart and my self built fence on timber lot about 3/4 of the day. Received 37 cts for making chatmort and filing, Quite warm today, Rained from nine until noon quite hard. Wind S + SW, musquitoes quite plenty tonight
