This is a poetry collection that I wrote about feeling lonely and discouraged, how I've tried to distract myself from the harshness of the outside world and all the hard work of everyone that is still working during this tough time. I am a junior at UWEC majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

My love of poetry has really sprung up in the past year. I love the absolute freedom and honesty of imagery and statements that a poet can give to their audience. The poet gives a tender piece of themselves to the reader in their work.
