This is a piece of music composed during quarantine. Throughout the US, there are people who do not take the Covid-19 virus seriously. These people are represented by the the Trumpets in the piece. At UWEC, where I am currently attending, there were multiple events at the beginning of the semester wherein many people would be in close proximity without masks, and their defense was effectively "we're at college, let us have fun." People not taking the virus seriously only make it worse, and I feel like the piece accurately portrays my frustration.
