"Influenza has also placed havoc in Stanley where yesterday there were seventy homes under quarantine and in them about 200 cases, most of them in a mild form. One death was reported in that city, Alfred M. Berg, the druggist, his death being announced just when the remains of two soldiers arrived from training camps, victims of the same disease. Stanley is having by far the worst siege of influenza of any community in the county.
Stanley's doctors are ill and an appeal has been made to the state for assistance. All the doctors and nurses in this city are kept busy but arrangements may be made to send at least one physician from here."
