Mentor

Bill Zorn built and maintained relationships with the students he coached and mentored. His interest in supporting students continued long after their graduation. He was known to stay in contact with many students after graduation, continuing to provide advice and mentorship as they launched their own careers. Beyond his work on campus, he was honored in 1968 by the Eau Claire chapter of the National Exchange Club with a crime prevention award. His influence was felt all across the Chippewa Valley.

In 1985, many years after his retirement, the University hosted a celebratory reception for Bill Zorn, "Mr. Enthusiasm." The event brought together the university community, including many alumni who were coached and influenced by Bill Zorn.
